Reflections
He paws the earth and revels in his own strength
And the earth and all its creatures know his joy.
His muscles ripple in the noonday sun
His nostrils flare with the excitement of newly-found freedom.
His head and tail held high~he prances.
"Look at me," he seems to say
Look at me and know the beauty of God's creation.
Come with me and I will share with you my strenghth.
My gentleness, my joy.
We will become one, in thought and action.
You will be my mind and I your body.
We shall move on the land as an eagle in the air.
And our joy shall know no boundaries
And no obstacles shall hinder our flight.
And when the day is over and our muscles weary and weakened~
Our bodies will separate, but our hearts unite forever.
