- About Me:
- I was diagnosed in November 2005 with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. I was given one year to live. I was only 30 years old. I was assured several times by my doctors that I was too young to have breast cancer. Guess what? I wasn't! Now, I tell it like it is with a very "in your face" kind of approach because people, especially doctors need to PAY ATTENTION to this urgent educational message. Cancer does not discrimiate! It is one of my many goals to change the medical protocol for young women, allowing for possible early detection, diagnosis and treatment.

When I was in the chemo room, I saw more and more young women. Women in their 20s and 30s. I was surprised.

We really need to start the girls off as soon as their breasts start developing. The age where women are getting breast cancer is getting younger. Not good.
