It is very hard for me to write this. Becky Hoban Hines passes away on Monday, September 21, 2009. I met Becky for the first time at the Liver Symposium in Chicago. What a lady! She was so happy and so excited to meet new people. She danced on stage with Jim Belushi that night. It is awesome to look back and watch her. She was so excited. She was full of life and enjoying every minute dancing.
The next time I met Becky was in Denver at the next Liver Symposium. Becky was wonderful when I fainted at the dinner the night before the symposium. When I first looked up Becky was the one I saw first. She kept telling me it is alright, you are going to be fine. She held my hand, she told me you are okay, she loved on me and was there for me. I was crying and she held me and said it's okay. She made me feel so safe and I knew everything would be alright.
The next day Becky spoke and it was wonderful to hear her story.
AJ interviewed Becky and she was so happy and she said she was a survivor and her faith, friends and family helped her get through everything. We didn't know Becky very long but she was a dear friend. One that I will miss so much. I talked to Becky 2 weeks ago and she wasn't feeling that great. She kept telling me how much she loved AJ & I. She was glad she got to know us. I told her I felt the same way. She was a special lady who is going to be missed so much. Becky and I talked about going horse back riding together. I couldn't wait until we could do that. I will ride with Becky one day.
Becky, you were loved, you are a special lady. Take care of Jackson for me and ride him through meadows. I will join both of you one day and we will finally ride together.
