Survivor Celebration - Inspiring and Empowering Cancer Survivors

Happy Easter Everyone!

No matter what your faith is (or isn't), this heartfelt greeting has deep meaning. No matter what your faith is or isn't, this message is for you.

Easter is a global celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It celebrates Him rising from the dead after giving His life unselfishly for others -- for you. Even if you don't believe in Him, you can relate to the act of unselfishness. It's no coincidence that we celebrate Easter in the Spring because it's a symbol of life after it seems that all hope has been lost. What dies off in winter, comes back in the Spring. This Spring, it's more difficult for many to think life, like flowers, will bloom. Trust me, it will.

If you or someone you know is hurting, I want to let you know that there is hope. If you need someone to talk with, email with or visit with, let me know. If you have a specific or general prayer request, let me know. I also ask that you pray for or think about my wife and I as we seek the finances needed to grow our nonprofit and help people that are fighting cancer.

Finally, if you are in the L.A. area and want some FREE FOOD on Sunday, my church, led by Pastor Ralph Bessard (www.crossoverministries.net) is hosting an easter service with a short message and a free brunch. You can come in jeans or get dressed up. Bring your family or friends. Call me or email me right away (space is limited). Even if you don't like church and you put cotton balls in your ears during the short service, the food is free and it's good and you'll meet some fun people and you'll have a great time. :-)

Dear Fellow travelers-The people called "Celts" celebrated this Holiday they called Beltain. It is a right of spring, a time of blessing animals, houses, fields and all things new. They had little but were greatful for even that. No matter what you are or have been given in life, "Celebrate the essence of life and the quiet small things that bring joy and comfort like memories of those gone before, those you call "Love" now and those who gave "Love" along the way. I am a fellow traveler on this rocky road that is Oh so narrow, but so worth the journey. People like A.J., Me, my dear companion of 47 years will help on the way to new life and always surprise and wonder even in these "bad times". There is always someone worse off than you and yes even better, that makes you a "neat middle" hold your ground and fight against any who seek to use the weak or to destroy Joy,Love, or peace. Happy Easter and the celebration of life after life, to triumph always. Behold the lowly catapiller, whos Cacoon becomes a time of the newness to come. It bursts forth to fly and bestow beauty for all who see its efforts and passing. May we all bring joy and comfort in our journey. You have my prayers and thanks A.J. and Lady in Love. Keep up the good work to the end and beyond. Amen
Love and triumph

“AJ, I'm buying the first 100 for my ministry with the team. This is an excellent resource -- clear, applicable, well written! You and Vera have written one of the most significant and useful devotionals I've seen in a long time. Ravens players and coaches will love this tool for training camp! I'm excited to see it go to print and I'm honored to be a friend of one of the co-authors, a true champion indeed.”
